I don't have a travel version, but I think if I did, I'd put it away to see if there will be a recall. I'd be afraid to use it, even though the one you have is a replacement after the other one failed, and surely Rowenta wouldn't send out another risky one, would they? Hard to say.

I searched for "Rowenta Recall" and found other appliances mentioned but not an iron. They make a lot of irons. It may be the most popular brand of the moment. I have one regular size, but the steam function doesn't work any more. In fact, I have two irons with the same problem, but I don't need steam. I like my Rowenta because it heats up to "cotton" temp very, very fast.
