hi there- i just read your request- i was taught in class to take 3 0r 4 stitches in place when you finish an area and then when yiu sre ready to start the next area- take three or four more stitches in place after you bring up the bobbin thread- to take stitches in place just hold the material so it can,t move untill you do this-hope it helps-beautiful quilt by the way---little stitches
