FMQ, Shadow Trapunto and Curved Crosshatching
This is my second attempt at Shadow Trapunto. (Geta got me started at this...)
This piece was made by doing reverse trapunto using black felt on toile, then layering an off-white shimmery organza over the top and FMQing the whole thing. The binding is a mottled grey fabric with red piping. This piece measures 27" x 30". I had fun with this piece and am fairly pleased with how it turned out. Next time though, I'll use a backing fabric that is closer in color to my quilting thread.
So... what do you think?

And here's the whole top. In person it is much easier to see the picture on the toile in the center, but I couldn't seem to get a good shot of it with the camera in the evening light
