first of all, thank you to all of the wonderful people on this board who share their love of quilting.. for someone like me to admire, learn, and be inspired. I am glad to be here.
i've recently come back to quilting in anticipation of my first grandchild. my first foray into quilting was a 9 patch red and white pillow. my teacher admonished against using any tools except needle, thread, and scissors because "it's not real quilting" unless it is done this way... I was happy when I completed my pillow, but felt no joy in learning. This was in 1979. I'm glad much has changed since that lesson.
secondly, i am happy quilters blog and use YouTube!!
