If the pieces are already washed - and still smell fresh - I would press/iron the pieces to get the creases out - if there are any flaws that I notice then, I put a small safety pin in the selvage that is closest to the flaw so that I know to look for it when I get it out again. I also usually iron on the back/wrong side - so I can follow the grain lines better.

Then I would fold them to whatever size will work for that piece.

When I redo my fabrics - it's like shopping all over again.
