My LQS gives discounts of up to 20% to class attendees. As for charging for shipping, that does not seem right to me, plus if they have ordered a quanity, they got discounted shipping anyway. They should just say the book will cost $X. and you need it to take the class. Why show shipping? What happens if you buy the book somewhere else? Often, if we already have the pattern, we can use ours instead of buying it again.
