quilty..New magazine put out by Fons & Porter
NEW Quilt magazine put out by Fons & Porter called simply "quilty". I picked one up yesterday at Walmart (although I don't normally buy many quilt magazines) because it has all the earmarks of Modern Quilting which is what I love to do. This is issue one - Summer 2012 It has alot of good info regarding MOD quilting for beginners and and to advanced. It has 13 easy quilt patterns, 36 essential tips, great article on Todays Quilt History of the Modern Quilt Guilds flourishing internationally and losts more. They also have started a facebook page called HeyQuilty (but put word QUILTY on facebook and it will take you to it) which I will check out today. Looks like it will be a quarterly magazine. I have been a part of the Modern Quilt Guild online for almost a year now and have recently joined the Atlanta Chapter here in Georgia and plan to attend next months meeting. I'm hoping to somewhere down the road start a chapter in our area even though we have several different traditional type quilts within a 100 mile radius from where I live. Anyway any of you interested in MOD Quilting may want to check out this magazine.
