My favorite nippers are made by gold seal. They are the same kind that are used in sewing factories and last a long, long time. They can be sharpened just like any good pair of scissors, they have a ring on the side to wear while you are sewing at the machine so you never have to set them down and pick them back up to use them while working. The point is thin enough to use for small un-sewing tasks.
