i don't know what you mean by the roll, but my favorite batting by a million miles is the hobbs heirloom washable wool. it's warm (really warm , but cool int he summer) and is a dream to hand and machine quilt.

batting is expensive. everything lately seems to be so expensive. crop failures world wide and all the rest....welp. expensive.

i am using that white warm and natural right now and it is painfully thin. if i were to use it again i might actually be tempted to double it up.

am i helping? no, i don't think so.

i sure do like that wool. and someday ima win the lottery and try that silk. gorsh it feels lovely on the roll....
