There are however two positives with the dirt floor. If we get water in the basement it just drains out through the dirt and if we get stuck in the driveway in the winter we can scoop up a bucket of dirt to put under the tires. I do always try to look at the bright side!
Judy, this is hilarious! My house is 200 years old and exactly the same as yours. When I saw the pictures, I said exactly your first sentence. And the bedrooms, empty since the daughters left home, are too cold in winter to sew. So I use my living room and pack it all up when company comes. Chris, I love your room and am also jealous!
