No, I still haven't finished this and don't know if I ever will! I didn't make flowers; just sewed all the hexies together willy-nilly and eventually made one huge star. I blogged about it here:

So far, I haven't found a fabric for the star background and really, that might just be a collossal waste of fabric! Too late for me, but check out this idea for a hexie quilt...lovely!
