I have to say that I have had better luck with WOF, too. I like the little bit of stretch with it as well, as it seems a bit more forgiving than LOF. I only use LOF on borders where the pattern is large enough to look bad if it was seamed. Everything else I use WOF, and have never had a problem with too much stretch.
