Karen I hope your surgery goes well... Its always hard to know how our bodies will recover. Sydney sounds like an excellent quilt inspector also. Our animals are so special. I keep promising JR I will get around to making him a bed.. have the pattern just have sew many other projects I get more excited about.. LOL.
