I had to make the lemon coffee cake this morning, and I must report that my husband loves it. I suggested we give some to the neighbors since it was huge for just the two of us, and he said he didn't want to give any of it away! (What a little piggy he is sometimes! I think I'll cut it and individually wrap it for the freezer so we can get out what we want when we want.)
I need to comment that she has two listings of vanilla and none of the baking soda mentioned in the instructions, so I think the second is really meant to be baking soda. (the 1/2 tsp) That's the way I made it , and it turned out okay.
