I absolutely love making scrap quilts. There is nothing more satisfying that using a quilt that you didn't have to spend a lot of money to make. I usually have enough for a top and only have to purchase material for a back. I now have a longarm of my own so I can quilt them which makes them even more economical.

I am not sure how many scrap quilts I have made but I know there have been quite a few!

I am working on one that uses 2" squares made into nine patches (290 of them). The first of two borders has been put on and am still looking for the perfect material for the outer border, back and binding. I have enough leftover bindings in the box to probably use for a scrappy binding.

The lady who used to do my longarm quilting said she always loved getting the scrappy ones because it was like a walk down memory lane ... I have to agree.
