Mary,

I started getting a fondness for pincushions when I started getting
them in my SP boxes.

They are all just to cute to use, not to mention that I seldom (if ever)
use actual pincushions. I LOVE the handmade so that I can display them
and look at them all the time.

Of course my two younger (fur) kids likes them too, so if I don't hang
them up HIGH where they can't get to them then I have to go hunt for
MY pincushions. Thankfully though I ALWAYS make sure the are NO
pins in them, as I don't want them to get hurt from the pins (main
reason I don't use them).

I found the emery sand on the joggles.com for $5.95 per POUND, when I
do get some I am thinking about using buckwheat hulls (I have a 5# bag)
in the bottom of the cushions (that don't have a "weighted" base) and the
sand in the top. Just an idea though since I have not yet tried it don't know
how/if it will work.
