OMG I thought we were the only people told something like this. My grandad, the doctor, not only "popped" babies but told us a pretty outrageous story similar to yours about belly buttons. Between those two stories I was pretty sure I would never be fool enough to have a baby....I am pretty sure my son is grateful I got over that childhood notion.

One more story. When I was little my sis and I stayed with my grandparents a lot. My aunt and uncle lived next door. One Easter morning I got up to peek out the windows to see if the Easter bunny had come and low and behold there was my aunt STEALING Easter eggs. Boy was I upset. I am not sure how my grandparents handled it but it was years before it finally dawned on me she was hiding not stealing!
