Some questions to ask yourself:
Why do you make art?
How do you make your art?
What materials do you use?
What does your art mean to you?
Are you trying to convey any emotions?
What inspires you?
Are there major influences in your work?
How do your technique, style, and methods relate to your medium?
Typically artist statements are 3 paragraphs.
1st one - talk about why you make the art you do, what influences you and inspires you
2nd one - explain a little about your process and the materials you use
3rd one - talk about your current work or a specific piece, explaining in more detail how and why you made it - leave room for the viewer to see things for themselves, don't dictate what they should see or feel
