I spent a few years teaching kids how to quilt and they loved it. I had one student who was 12 years old who made the most astounding quilt ever. Also, you're only as old as you think you are. I am 65 but I happen to think I am about 40. I'm afraid your male friend (?) is a bit out of touch himself!
