How fabulous that your husband started up this friendship. I have no doubt this little girl will always remember him and the wonderful gift you made for her. I still remember my first stamped cross stitch project which was given to me by a boarder who living with us while he was going to barber school. I was six and he gave me a simple "God Bless Out Home" stamped piece with floss and showed me how to do cross stitch. It was a wonderfully kind thing to do and it started me on a path of many, many cross stitch (including counted cross stitch) projects. Kudos to both of you!
