I was using Gutermann, and the mini iron got too hot and melted it, and couldn't pull stitches out even without pressing.
With the Aurifill, I could grab the bobbin thread and pull!. It goes through the fabric like a hot knife in butter. Maybe it doesn't have as many slubs?
