The name of this block is Shoo Fly and there is a tutorial for it at About.com. All you need to do is increase the size of each piece, from the size listed, to 12 1/2" cut size. Since this is an antique quilt block I see no reason this info can't be shared. For a standard 12" finished block the squares are cut at 4 1/2" or for a 9" block they would be cut at 3 1/2". Just take the size of the desired finished block and divide it by three and add 1/2" seam allowance to each piece. Example 9" fin. block =9 div. by 3=3"+1/2" seams=3 1/2" squares. Hope this helps.
