My "old" sewing machine is working again!
Way back when i decided to start sewing i bought a white sewing machine and it worked fine for many years. But as luck would have it it "froze" up on day so i did what i thought was good. i went out and bought a new machine that had more stitches on it and a drop in bobbin (which i absolutely love!) Now that i joined my third (!) sewing group/guild we have a building where we can keep our machines in a locked room. so last week i got out the old white and gave it a good old cleaning and wala it is running like a champ. i am so happy that i won't be lugging my "good" machine out to the clubhouse. i am going to take the white out there and just keep it there for doing basic sewing - i am working on my sixth charity quilt top for one guild and i sewed the strips together the other night using the white machine!!!! what a relief it will be not to lug my "good" machine back and forth.
