So, I have done a test 9 patch to see how it will work. I prewashed, dried and starched only a few of my fabrics to start with so the color selection isn't as good as it could be but this gives an idea. The fabric is thick but I've worked with similar fabric last fall making 10 quilts for Christmas. It is probably harder using a thick fabric for such tiny pieces but this block wasn't that hard so I'll next try the 4 patches on point-that will definately be the hardest block. I'll have to wait till the pattern arrives before I do that one so I get the measurements correct.

The middle square is a lime green and didn't photograph very well. The light lavendar looks a little too light compared to the other fabrics so I'll have to decide if I want to use my lighter shades or just keep to the medium and medium dark ones.
