After looking at the border patterns you are possibly wanting to use I would actually get out some paper and make myself a pattern of the butterflies and use them. There is paper you can use from golden thread that is made for that purpose and it sure would carry on your theme. You could even get the thin template material and cut out your own pattern and mark it on the border and free hand sew it. I do that with some of mine on the longarm.
