I use Aurifil for both piecing and quilting. I have a robotic quilting system and the one thing you don't want is a breakage while quilting. That means you have to stop and go back ... my machine loves it in the bottom and on top, it's great. And I don't use a lot of colors either, I use light nuturals for about everything.
