Congratulations on finishing that beautiful quilt top and for having the gumption to handquilt it! I think that I would match the thread colors to the sections that I was working on. I agree with Holice, the American cotton hand quilting thread is the best (and least expensive) that I've ever used. Get yourself some Thread Heaven (thread conditioner) or a block of beeswax (to help with tangling), and don't worry about teeny, tiny stitches. As long as your stiches are the same size, it will be beautiful! Good Luck!!
