Viking machines seem to need Viking feet which are always more expensive than ordinary short shank generic feet. The short shank feet which are fine on my vintage Singers will not fit my Husqvarna/Viking machines. Even the walking foot from my Husqvarna Prelude (class 5 Viking) will not fit my Husqvarna #1+ (class 1 Viking). I found that really annoying!
The funny thing is; my walking foot from my #1 doesn't fit my Ruby #7, but all the other feet do. So that isn't too bad.
