I usually make layers, use lemon curd for filling and a nice dusting of conf. sugar on top ... yum. (reading so many different idea, had to dig out a lemon drop to suck on!)
Having gone back and read Sweeterthanwine's lemon glaze, I'm thinking layers, lemon curd and the glaze on top ... shoot, where did I put the rest of those lemon drops? Drool
