Default It's a keeper!

I have an old standby purse that I have used for years when we go to Biloxi, Ms. (casinos), love it but could never put my hotel card, slot machine cards or anything I didn't want de-magnetized in it as it has several magnetic closures in it. So I decided to remake it...as luck would have it, I had found a bag of scraps at a yardsale (leftovers from a lady's chair covers) for $1. Ok, so I've never attempted anything like this before, so I figured if I messed up $1 worth of fabric figuring it out...no big deal, right? So, out came Mr. Ripper & I carefully took it apart. I decided to use all the zippers & hardware from the old one, & I could use the leather from the old one for accents. Took me 3 days & alot of ripping & refiguring, but I did it. I sewed on a larger snap instead of magnet & made a few changes for what I wanted. It only measures 7"x7", but it is 2 sections, has 4 zippered pockets & a patch pocket & a pen holder, & an adjustable strap, plus it has a zipper all around it that lets it expand for putting more stuff in! (I broke the original zipper so found one that doesn't match, but actually goes with the purse itseld better--cost $4) So the whole purse cost about $7 (new zipper, fabric, interfacing, thread, & batting scraps). It's a keeper!!! Hope to be able to try it out in July...thanks for looking.
