My hexes are 1-1/4" in 1930's reproduction prints. If you go to
www.paperpieces.com you can click on to free patterns and get layout info along with the correct yardage needed for your quilt size. They also list the amount of hexes you'll need for your quilt size. It's really a great site. The best part is that you can order pre-cut hexes in just about any size you'd like.
