My grandmother made several GFG's. The amazing part is she sat in her chair holding a worn cardboard template and kind of cut the hexagons out in mid air. They all came out perfect. She handquilted them all and she either outline quilted them or did an X through the middle of the hexagon. Don't waste your handquilting in a ditch!
