From what I understand, these machines were engineered to produce 1200 stitches per minute....at 12 stitches to the inch, you should be able to sew 100 inches, or 2 and 3/4 yards per minute. Pretty speedy for a treadle! (Can't recall where I read that at...maybe Jon will know?)
