When I have one with pin rash like that, I usually put rust converter on it to turn it black. I used to then wax over it, but now I use Skip's method of shellac. You might be surprised at how the bobbin cover plate comes out after the rust remover. LOVE the decals on these. I've always wanted a two spool, but now i REALLY want an Eldridge. Laura

She is a mess - someone got a bit aggressive with the throat plate - I'm wondering if one off another National might do the job - I'll have to measure.
