garage saling today. 1 machine, a 1980s something kenmore - wasn't even tempted. Lady asked why and I said it wasn't old enough!!
Got a strange look from her for that remark.
However, I did find and buy a Singer shipping crate from the UK to the US to Kansas City, KS. It held a featherweight when it was shipped from Clydebank. No lid but still the crate is sturdy and DH didn't say anything which is good. The guy said he had another and will find it and give me a call. He put it out in a whim - didn't realize a sewing machine nerd would even want to buiy it. Will post a picture later.
