Brenda, might I suggest that you use FQs from the same fabric line or use one focal fabric in each block and coordinate colors that go with that focal fabric.

I have found that I really like the samplers as you learn so many different blocks. I have been using my FQ's. The only problem I am having is that I have used too many different colors and prints. So I have a lot of different blocks that really don't go together. I guess I could put them together and try to win the ugliest quilt contest. Your quilt is great, (no color problem there).
