bom's tend to be kind of expensive (you pay for the convienience & postage) and it depends on the shop how they set up the program-
some say 'can start anytime' those are set up so when you join you start with block 1= regardless of when they started the program
others have a certain 'start date' and normally you can not join later- unless they happen to have extras (expected more members than they received) then they may let you start late- charge you for all of the blocks up to that point & send you all of them to 'catch up'...i would imagine you are not getting response because seldom are bom's set up to be able to participate 'over-seas'--they have to be able to verify & charge your credit card every month & you have to commit to paying for the whole project- it would be advisable to find a shop state side that is doing that one-
try The Cotton Patch Quilt Shoppe (in east tawas, Michigan) they offer over 100 bom's and most are ones that you can join any time....
some shops charge a start up fee- plus a monthly fee- you have to commit to the complete program- plan to spend $300+ to complete your project by the time it is all done-..but you do pay monthly-so it spreads the cost out over a year or morel.
