This works for me because I don't stitch through the paper, I fold on the stitching line (which I can now see, since the paper is transparent) and stitch right next to it. Saves me from all that tedious tearing. Saves wear on the needle, too.
I've heard of people doing this with freezer paper but not regular paper - how do you keep your fabric from shifting about while you are working on your block? Do you glue stick the fabric to the paper or something? I absolutely love paper piecing and would love to know your method if you don't sharing
