Barn blocks are a big thing here in TN, KY, and GA. Those are the ones that I personally have seen. I have just had one painted and placed on our barn, 8x8 (but our house is a good ways off the road), my choice for colors and design (I had Patriotic Star, done in red, white, and blue honoring the military members of my own family), and the price was $300, plus the wood (two 4x8 sheets of a certain grade and thickness of plywood) and the paint.
