I just made my first two rag quilts...one with cotton batiks front and back with orange flannel between...and a kona cottons with yellow flannel middle. Didn't prewash anything and they turned out beautifully. I washed and dried wach one twice, then brushedwith a lint brush. I think you'll be pleasedif you trycottons. Good luck!
