Also check reviews at http://sewing.patternreview.com/ . If you register there (no cost), you can see older reviews as well as the newer ones. Here are the four reviews I found there:

but you do have to create a user log-in to look at these.

The "serger" attachment on a sewing machine does not work the same (or as well) as a real serger. That is sort of a "come on" to entice buyers.

Singer has a very mixed reputation nowadays. The high-end Singers often get good reviews; the lower-end Singers not so much. It might be safer to also look at Janome and Kenmore machines with similar features.

Edit: I logged in and read the 4 reviews. All 4 said the embroidery stitches were beautiful and the machine was very easy to use. 3 mentioned that it was difficult to change the needle because of tight space, 2 said it was difficult to thread, 1 was having a lot of problems with the sensors and another mentioned that the sensors were too sensitive.
