I learned this technique from a woman who lived in Hawaii. The traditional pattern is cut from folded fabric, much like we used to do to cut out snowflakes as children. It is then needle-turned applique' (new to me) and then "echo" quilted by hand. Quite a stretch outside of my box, but I really enjoyed it. I am going to turn it into a large tote bag. Others are choosing to make pillows, but I figure, one can never have too many bags (or is that diamonds, or shoes)? Hahaha.
We can never have to to many bags or fabric...can't forget about the fabric!!!!
That is wonderful. I've been eyeing these up but haven't tried it yet. They are just amazing.
