Jelly Roll Race finished... and I came in dead last! Seriously. And, there were only 3 of us that showed up for the race. I found out it was the first ever in our city.

Had a wonderful time, met 5 very nice women and learned a lot about the shop. My 301 was screaming but ever once in a while it would just create a machine stopping bird's nest. Beautiful stitching, bird's nest, cut the mess away and begin again and same thing. Think I had 6x of that happening. I have no idea why.

For third or last place I received a very nice present of a Babylock set of two scissors and an awesome thread cutter. I will post photos of my quilt top and presents tomorrow.

OH, and I decided I don't really like speed sewing quite to that extent! It was a great experience and at least I found out what I do and don't like. We did cut off 18" once we had all of the strips sewn together on the first round. Thanks for everyone's encouragement. Y'all are so great.
