Default Vintage Singer 96-10 Industrial Machine

See what happens when you keep looking at Craigslist and you already have too many sewing machines (according to DH)? I saw the ad on CL the other night and recognized the phone number was the phone number of the lady from whom I purchased my first Featherweight. I could not resist going over to look at the sewing machine because I knew she had an awesome collection of vintage sewing machines. He husband died in February and she was moving and selling most of her collection. Anyway, long story short, I purchased this 1923 Singer 96-10. Before going to live with my DD the machine went to my OSMG for a tune up. He discovered that it was not picking up the bobbin thread because it had a Bernina bobbin case in it. Go figure! His comment to my DD was "where does your mother find these odd balls?" She told him that she just has the knack I guess, LOL. The pictures are from CL so the second one is very tiny. In the future I will be sure to take my camera with me along with my screw driver to remove the machine heads before transporting.
