Half Square Triangle solution
If you prefer to cut your triangles and not use the paper piecing type solution, I offer a different option. Try Kay England's half square and quarter square rulers. They are very accurate and eliminate the need for subdividing squares and the dreaded 7/8 measurements. Also % of the price goes to breast cancer research.
