Default Quilt from a kit… sort of…

I’m planning to do a craft show in October and have been working on placemats, hot pads, mug rugs, purses, etc. and was getting bored with little projects so, I picked up this kit on a clearance table. If I remember correctly it was $7 …or maybe $10. Can’t remember exactly but it was definitely in my price range although not in my favorite color range. The fabric was not of the best quality, but was OK. The pattern that came with the kit was very involved and I wanted a fast turnover, so I abandoned the pattern and made a ‘tube’ quilt. The top was done in a day! YEAH! Lots of bits left over for the backing so I threw the bits in just for fun. I stuck to plain old stipple in the center (using gray thread) Then did some swirly stuff on some of the borders and added what I call a ‘fence’ all around the outside. Someday I am going to learn to do 'feathers'.
The colors that my camera came up with are off a bit...well a lot... not sure what's up with the camera. I do know the lens needs a good cleaning!
