Default I'm so excited - my 99K Works!!!

I posted a few days ago about a 99K I recently inherited. I spent the last 10 days taking her apart, cleaning, and oiling her. I didn't know if she would run or not. Finally got her put back together and she runs great. The light even works with the old light bulb! The cord had been chewed on by a mouse or something, but I had the idea that the cord to my 401A might work and it did!

She was in pretty good condition. Thank you to Charlee who recommended evaporust. I was able to use that to take care of the few areas of rust on the black part and several of the metal pieces. There is still a little area of corrosion on the slide plate. I took a before picture and will take after pictures later today. I will post if I can figure out how.

I feel like I inherited a real treasure. I pulled her out of the attic of the farmhouse my mother grew up in. The house was hit by a tornado in May and will have to be torn down. I went in to grab what small items I thought I had room for in my house. My mother got this machine new when she was 13. Neither one of us is sure how long it was up in the attic. It was sure dirty - mouse poop and everything.

I did notice that it looks like there may be a tiny bit of rust on the tension disc. I am kind of afraid to mess with that part. Does anyone have suggestions?
