Default Jumped in head first and was not disappointed!

I haven't been very active online for some time now, been busy in the garden and the studio!
A year ago, I seen a thread on here about taking 2 squares and sewing around all four sides then cutting twice on the diagonal for easy-peasy pinwheels. So, I just *had* to try it out and see how easy this was. Well, it turned out to be that simple(YaY) and in no time, I had a bunch of pinwheels. Just had no idea what to do with them, lol!
So they sat, and sat. Then I figured, what the hey!, lets throw them up on the design wall and see what happens. Long story short, what I designed and what I ended up with are in no way even close. But, the final product is, (in my opinion), my best yet. I have also been dickering with FMQ, why I was so scared and intimidated I will never know. It is mostly dense loop-de-loops with spirals and loops in the outer border and the blacks are a variety of dress-shirt material to polys to sateens(?). It is called Free Spirit, in reflection of it's maker... Me! Thanks for looking, and never be afraid to just wing it!

The first pic is what I set out to make.
2nd pic is the back of finished quilt(with label :-) ). Those aren't spots on it, some of it is sunlight thru the trees and the "glob" of white is lint from adding a towel in the wash by accident.
3rd pic is finished quilt front.
