Never knew about a right/wrong side to batting. Have been quilting 30+ years and can learn something daily on QB. Thanks for sharing!
I understand it's because the smooth side has a scrim, and that helps prevent the batting from poking through to the back, besides keeping the batting from bunching, separating, etc.
