I, too have been a reporter, taught English at the high school level, taught government and economics at the high school level, taught writing to classes and individuals, have been paid to write chapters in specialized books. I have a dictionary--a real, paper dictionary--and just yesterday used it to be sure of the definition of a word I wanted to use because it sounds so pretty. While I could spell it, I discovered that it didn't mean anything close to what I thought it did. Hooray for dictionaries and other such aids. I don't know anyone who does not occasionally need them. froggyintexas

I can be a noodge but have learned to not return letters with corrections anymore. I'm sure it will catch up with me at some time, but so far I haven't had that problem. Lots of other problems, but spelling and grammar are still intact. For today, anyway.
